Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu on Taosim

This granite boulder looks like two seniors sitting opposite each other, as if they were deliberating over the principles of the universe.  It is therefore known as “Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu on Taosim”. It is a result of granite being subjected to differential and spheroidal weathering along its fractures (joints).

Did you know?

Lao-tzu is the founder of the Taoist School and author of the Tao Te Ching. He was revered as one of the Gods of Sanqingshan and the Supreme God of Taoism.

Chuang-tzu, the author of Chuang-tzu and A Happy Excursion, is one of the major representatives of the Taoist School.
