The granite looks like penguins offering a peach, so its name is “Penguins Offer Peach”. It was formed when the granite body was cut along several groups of fractures (joints) and then underwent weathering, runoff erosion and gravitational collapse. The beaks of the penguins are stones, which were worn away by differential weathering.
