The five granite peaks bottoms are interconnected and have sharp and cone-shaped summits. Viewed from afar, they are like five seniors on their pilgrimage. In accordance with the story of the five seniors in Taosim, they are named “Pilgrimage of Five Seniors”. It was formed when the granite body was cut by its near-vertical fractures (joints) which were further expanded due to weathering, runoff erosion and gravitational collapse.

The granite massif was broken along its fractures (joints).

The granite peak clusters formed due to weathering, erosion and collapse look like five seniors on their pilgrimage.
