The Geopark, together with institutions such as Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences and China University of Geosciences (Beijing), deeply studied spatial and temporal distribution of  granites with different ages and 4 main active periods of magma within the region of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark, and discussed granite’s main features, causes of formation and forming background. As a result, a doctoral thesis entitled Characteristics and Formation Mechanism of Jiangxi Sanqingshan Granite Geology and Landform was completed, and several books have been published, e.g. Characteristics and Cause of Formation of Sanqingshan Granite Geology and Features and Formation Mechanism of Sanqingshan Granite Geology and Landform.
