The Geopark has set up long-term cooperation relationships with institutes, e.g. Geological Survey of Jiangxi Province and Jiangxi Northeast Geological Investigation Team. The Geopark practiced numerous surveys for geosites, geological and topographic characteristics, research of their formation mechanism, and development and conservation of tourism resources.

Since Oct. 2015, a research team from China University of Geosciences, Beijing (CUGB) has been studying interpretation system of the geoheritage of Sanqingshan.

From April 2016 to July 2017, Dr. Zhanghuang Ye had been doing research on the evolution processes of Sanqingshan granite landform.
