Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark of Canada

In August 2015, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark invited William David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canada Stonehammer Global Geopark, Chief Executive Officer Gavin Bulainate to come to Sanqingshan for investigation and exchange, during which the two sides concluded a sister park relation.

Canadian Stonehammer Global Geopark is located in the east coast of Canada, the birthplace of Canadian geology, and it was included in the Global Geoparks Network in 2010. The landscape of the geopark is the result produced by the plate collision, opening and closing of ocean, volcanic activity, seismic activity, glacial and climate change. The rock of the geopark recorded the evolution process of life, from the initially discovered Precambrian fold stone fossils to the Cambrian explosion of life to the emergence of vertebrate evolution and terrestrial organisms, of which the corresponding record can be found here. The park also recorded nearly all of the geological events from the late Cambrian to the recent ice age. As the beginning of the geology of Canada, the park has a very great significance.
