On October 20, the seminar to commemorate the 30th anniversary of China’s world heritage, the 70th anniversary of the UNESCO and the establishment of the national park system was held in Chengjiang. Invited by the world natural heritage conservation and research center in Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of People’s Republic of China, Sanqingshan world heritage region sent delegates to attend, gathered with more than 150 experts and scholars from home and abroad, reviewed, shared and discussed the past experience, looked forward to activities that would be carried out in the future and development direction.

 2015 was the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the UNESCO, and was also the 30th anniversary of China’s accession to UNESCO Convention on the Conservation of the World Cultural and Natural Heritages, the world heritage was an outstanding and typical example of the history of the evolution of the earth and the history of human development, and was precious and non-renewable natural and cultural heritage. As of September 2015, China had had 48 world heritages, ranking second in the world; Of which there were 14 natural heritages, natural and cultural heritages, ranking first in the world. China’s world heritage was rich in types and remarkable in features, and played an important role in the world heritage stage.

 At the conference, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development officially released the Bulletin of the 30th Anniversary of Development of China’s World Natural Heritage, and awarded the Chengjiang fossil site, China Danxia, Xinjiang Tianshan, South China Karst secondary world heritage. Participants jointly discussed the future role of the world heritage and development strategy, on the basis of consensus, the Chengjiang Declaration to conserve and inherit the common values of the world heritage was formed.
