On May 15-16, the 2014 Annual Conference of China Global Geopark was successfully held in China Shennongjia UNESCO Global Geopark. The delegates of 28 China global geoparks, 6 global geoparks network candidate units and Ministry of Land and Resources from 17 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions attended the conference. The delegate of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark attended the conference.

At the conference, the 2013 construction situation of China’s global geoparks was informed, and the key work of 2014 global geoparks was scientifically deployed. The new members of the GGN Shennongjia and Yanqing respectively described basic situation of construction, development and management of geopark, five global geoparks including Xingwen respectively delivered a theme speech on the exchange of experience on the conference combined with the theme of the conference of "cooperation, exchange and sustainable development".

 During the conference, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark participated in the opening ceremony of Chinese Shennongjia UNESCO Global Geopark and the tree planting activity of "gloabl geopark development forest", and planted the non-profit tree on behalf of Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark.
