In order to strengthen the cooperation and communication among global Geopark members, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark and Longhushan UNESCO Global Geopark jointly signed the agreement to become “sister-parks”.

 Upon the establishment of “sister relationship” between Sanqingshan and Longhushan, both parties shall strengthen the cooperation and communication on the fields such as geo-science study, conservation of geosites, sustainable exploitation and utilization of resources, tourism promotion and marketing, reevaluation, staff training and etc. Learned from each other about the experience and practices on construction, protection and management of Geoparks, jointly discussed about the best patterns and methods to protect and manage geosites to promote the scientific and cultural quality and publicity on geotourism development, and to enhance the construction and management of Geoparks of both parties to new heights, to achieve mutual win-win in cooperation, pay joint efforts to develop the tourist industry in size and strength.
