The International Youth Volunteers China Initiative jointly staged by UNESCO World Heritage Committee and Chinese Education Society was held in Sanqingshan world natural heritage site from August 4th to 8th. Nearly 40 international youth volunteers from nine countries and regions including France, Britain, the United States, Mexico and Brazil performed voluntary activities such as resource protection and environment protection promotion.
In the 5-day trip, youth volunteers walked walk through the footpaths to appreciate magnificent natural landscapes of Sanqingshan and learn its splendid granite landform, exuberant wildlife and plant resources as well as profound historical and humanitarian significance together with the conservation and management status of the scenic areas. They were fully aware that Sanqingshan was a blessing material and spiritual wealth for humankind and a non-renewable historical bequeathal. Therefore, this piece of highly cherished treasure must be well protected in rigid accordance with World Heritage Convention.
