In order to enhance exchange among geoparks and further improve construction of Sanqingshan Geological Museum, on January 1st, 6 people from Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark Administrative Committee surveyed Longhushan and exchanged the construction progress of geological museum. Longhushan Global Geopark Administrative representatives introduced museum design philosophy, engineering exhibition, exhibits collection, investment budget, museum science popularization and education features as well as some construction experience and method statement.

Longhushan Geological Museum built in 2009 covers an exhibition area of over 1200 m2. The museum consists of over ten exhibition areas including Earth Knowledge Corridor, Longhushan Landform Evolvement History Exhibition Area, Longhushan Danxian Culture Exhibition Area, Longhushan Biodiversity Exhibition Area, Display Area of Contrast between Longhushan and Foreign Danxia. The museum serves the purpose of collection, exhibition and scientific research. Also stored in the museum are over 1000 pieces of physical exhibits including panels, mineral crystal, rock, fossil, biological specimen, ancient cliff tomb, Taoism cultural relic, geoscience publications as well as light and sound scaled model of park, information system, multi-media video hall and research room, etc.
