From September 18th to 22nd, the 6th Global Geoparks Conference, whose theme was “strengthening ties—connecting humankind and earth in a meaningful manner for humanbeings” was held in the Stonehammer Global Geopark in St. Johns, Canada which saw the participation of over 400 representatives from 74 Global Geoparks of over 33 nations. Sanqingshan also sent personnel.

The conference consisted of Executive Board Members Conference, keynote speech, GGN Joining in Explanation Meeting and park vote, conference survey, China Global Geoparks Symposium, China Global Geoparks Decennial Exhibition, etc. The conference is so far the one with largest scale and most participants among all Global Geoparks Conference.

In the conference, Sanqingshan also staged an array of activities including special poster display, panel explanation, expert interview, peers symposium, etc., demonstrating to global peers and authoritative experts the value of park’s landform landscape, park management system. Participants showed immense interest in Sanqingshan’s management system and mode as well as the development status of local community.
