To celebrate the 48th World Earth Day and further arouse human’s awareness of protecting the earth and their homes as well as respond to the "Sustainable Tourism Development Year" theme of UNESCO World Geopark, on April 21, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark carried out a series of colorful science popularization activities at the Golden Sand Tourist Center, Xikeng Primary School and Dong’ao Primary School, which brought the activities of the 48th World Earth Day Serial Science Popularization Month in Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark to a climax. On April 22th, the activity of going into the China University of Geosciences (Beijing) to participate in the Earth Day marked the successful conclusion of the Science Popularization Month.

On the day of the event, the prize-awarding ceremony for the “Using a paintbrush to tell the story about me and Sanqingshan" Painting Contest was held at the Xikeng Primary School. Ren Youqun, Deputy Mayor of Shangrao, and Zhu Li, Party Secretary of Sanqingshan Scenic District presented the prizes to the award-winning students, and participated in the Earth Day signature activities. During the period, we carried out activities such as scientific knowledge propagation class with "Our Planet, Our Home" as the theme, the advocacy campaigns for the "48th World Earth Day", and fliers dissemination in the campus to encourage students to participate in actions of environmental protection and protect the beautiful Sanqing with practical actions.

At the same time, activities such as the theme exhibition of 4.22 Earth Day , banner signature, fliers dissemination, scanning the two-dimensional code to follow the Geopark’s official account, filling in the questionnaire survey and others were held in the Golden Sand Tourist Center to advocate visitors to participate in the protection of the Earth. The activities attracted a large number of tourists and community residents to participate in a warm atmosphere at the scene.
