April 22th, 2017 is the 48th World Earth Day. China University of Geosciences (Beijing) successfully held the Eleventh Earth Science and Culture Week activities with a theme of "My Story of the Earth". Sanqingshan and other geological parks participated in the project of "Take You to Visit the Geopark “which was under the charge of the park expert Doctor Xu Kejian and supported by the Special Committee of Travel Science Popularization under the Chinese Science Writers Association. The activities were covered by many media on the scene including the Beijing Morning News, Iqiyi and others.

“Activities of "Take You to Visit the Geopark “ involved asking participants questions randomly selected from the question bank, and rewarding them with science books and special souvenirs of the geological park. In this way, participants gained a deeper understanding of the geological park as well as Sanqingshan. Many college students, teachers, parents, children and foreign students participated in the activities. They leafed through popular science books, discussed with each other and answered questions with a warm atmosphere. Volunteers presented the awards and fliers to visitors and introduced geological parks such as Sanqingshan through exhibition panels. After reading the series of popular science books and fliers of "Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark”, participants expressed their longing for the beautiful Sanqing, recognized the importance of protecting the environment, committed themselves to energy conservation, consciously protecting the environment, and advocating green life.

The event, as one of the activities of Earth Day Serial Science Popularization Month in Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark, played a positive role in the promotion of the Geopark on campus, and helped the promotion of the brand.
