Cambrian banded limestone

The outcropped rocks here are banded limestones formed in the Cambrian period about 570 million years ago. It is so named because of its grayish black and gray-white stripes. The thickness of gray-white stripes ranges from 5cm to 60cm, while the thickness of grayish black stripes containing silica and carbon ranges from 2cm to 30cm. They were deposited under the environment of seawater turbulence. The attitudes of the stratum are 209°∠25°.
