Unique Geologic Settings

    The Sanqingshan is located in the conjection zone of Jiangnan and Huaiyu Terrane, on north of the suture zone between Yangtze and Cathaysia plate. The boundary on the north is Gandongbei fault. On the southeast is Dongxiang-Jiangshan-Shaoxing fault. It has experienced multi-cyclic movement such as Jinning, Caledonian, Indosinian, Yanshanian and Himalayan cycle. Abundant and extremely rare geologic remains have witnessed the long and complex evolution history from the formation of folded basement, ocean-continental transition and intra-continental orogeny stage.
