E’gongling-Xiaxikeng Normal Fault

E’gongling-Xiaxikeng Normal Fault, located in the E’gongling-Xiaxikeng area, is one of the three normal faults (the other two are Fenglin-Zihu Fault and Xiaokeng-Bajiaowu Fault) which cut Sanqingshan into a triangle block mountain centering on Yujing Peak.

E’gongling-Xiaxikeng Normal Fault extends towards the Northwest and inclines towards the Northesat, with a dip of 65°. The southwest wall of the fault (the massif inside the triangle block mountain) is a rasied wall and the northeast wall is a lowered one. There are pressure breccias, sililcate rocks and cataclastite along the fault surface. The fault formed a grand canyon, at the southeast section of which there is a fault cliff formed by sililcate rocks.
