Since 2011, the Geopark’s application for provincial geoconservation project was approved so the Geopark has obtained special financial subsidy of about 9 million RMB. With the completion of the project, valuable geosites have been well conserved.
From 2011 to 2014, the Geopark had cooperated with UNESCO, Mercedes-Benz Star Fund to jointly complete the “Let Nature Take Its Course” China World Heritage Preservation and Management Project.

In 2014, the Geopark started to implement SanqingshanFenlglin Town Flood Control Project with a total investment of 32 million RMB, namely constructing 6.1 km flood control dam and landscape planting for Yuyaxi Watercourse at Fenglin Town. The project mainly includes embankment construction of banks, embankment protection of banks, sluice gate, dredging engineering, demolition and reconstruction for dam of water diversion irrigation and so on.

In 2015, the Geopark invested nearly 9.9 million RMB to construct Jinsha Pearl Pool Water Source Project and about 3 million RMB to build up JinshaFenglin Sewage Disposal Plant.
The Geopark set up Geosites Database and Video Monitoring System for significant Geosites so as to proceed ceaseless monitoring on geosites.

Hiking trails have been built in the Geopark. Along the trails, there are rain shelters, viewing decks, protective barriers, interpretive panels and warning signs. Protective measures have been adopted for vegetation, water and rocks along the trails. Special organizations and staff are responsible for management and maintenance of geoconservation facilities.

Patrolmen Protective Measures for Plants
To ensure safety of the Geopark, fire prevention and insect prevention have been enhanced, including increasing publicity efforts, reinforcing construction of fire protection, and implementing measures of mass prevention and treatment with stationary units in mountains, surrounding counties, towns and villages in the Geopark.
