In order to mark the 42nd World Environment Day on June 5th, in Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark, people kicked -off a series of environment protection promotion activities to further raise the overall society’s awareness of environment protection and encourage people to protect Sanqingshan with solid steps.

 By holding grand activity kickoff ceremony, Jinsha Tourist Square mobilized tourists at site to sign their name on the banner and voluntarily join in environment protection promotion activity. In the ticket barrier, staff members gave out promotion card and garbage bag to every tourist and called tourist for maintaining scenic area environment sanitation, and leaving no garbage. Scenic area also organized personnel to give out environment protection promotion products to shops and hotels along the road, and called for people to carry out sweep activity so that they can realize the real essence of the World Environment Day and jointly conserve the blue sky, green land, clean water, beautiful flower, fresh air here in Sanqingshan.

 This year’s theme of World Environment Day in China is “Shared Breathe and Joint Effort” designed to evoke public’s clear understanding of the relationship between environment and development, and stress  the philosophy of conservation culture,  green development as well as the public participation, call for the overall society to take initiatives to contribute to sustainable development.
