On January 20th, thanks to the work of Sanqingshan’s scenery “Serenity of Sanqingshan”, Sanqingshan was honored as “Top Six Most Beautiful Mountains of China” after audience’s vote via internet and mobile. Other mountains included Mt. Huangshan, Mt. Taishan, Mt. E’meishan, Mt. Huashan and Tianzishan of Zhangjiajie.

“The Most Beautiful Places of China” selection activity was sponsored by China National Geography and jointly undertaken by 34 media. After 8-month evaluation by the panel of judges consisted of 5 domestic professional societies, couples of academicians as well as a hundred experts and scholars, the most beautiful places in 15 types including mountain, lake, forest, grassland and desert, Yardang landform, island, coast, waterfall,  glacier, canyon, urban area, rural ancient towns, cavern, marsh wetland and so on were chosen. Finally the tip-top landscapes in each type made their name in the rank list.
