This year’s April 22nd marked the 46th World Earth Day. Taking “treasuring earth resources, transforming development mode and improving utilization efficiency of resources” as theme, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark mounted a series of science popularization educations and science popularization activities targeting at tourists and students.

Firstly, in Jinsha Service Area, Waishuangxi Service Area questionnaire and leaflets were given out and science popularization speeches were delivered at site to raise public’s attention to geological resource and enhance their self-awareness regarding conservation of geological resources.

Secondly, geological experts with Sichuan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources and scientific work author Li Zhongdong were invited to launch science popularization activity in Sanqingshan Geological Museum and Fengling Center Primary School. With vivid and explicit language, the experts let students understand the important value of Sanqingshan’s geological resources and encourage them to become little guardians of Sanqingshan.
