On November 25, sponsored by the UNESCO Office of Representatives Stationed in China, the Palace Museum and undertaken by World Heritage Magazine, the “70th UNESCO Foundation Anniversary and China Entry into World Heritage Convention 30th Anniversary Achievement Press Conference” was held in the Palace Museum. As a protection project of UNESCO—Mercedes-Benz Star Fund, Sanqingshan took part in the conference.
In the press conference, representatives mainly discussed the plan of UNESCO Office of Representatives Stationed in China and how should China world heritage protection management departments carry out future works. Representatives from various heritage sites shared their experience and related experts delved into feasibility and scheme concerning heritage conservation in the future.
The conference also displayedpictures of China’s 48 world heritages which vividly demonstrated the achievement yielded by China over the past three decades in world heritage conservation.
