On October 13th, representatives from 18 national global geoparks, national parks and Ministry of Land and Resources as well as many experts and scholars gathered in Golmud to attend the 2015 Global Geoparks Application Re-evaluation Symposium and Symposium on Sustainable Development of Global Geoparks in West China. Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark performed its first global geopark re-evaluation in 2016 and sent personnel to attend it in order to learn geopark management experience.

 In the conference, Sanqingshan reported its re-evaluation situation in 2016 to participating experts by site speech and listened to their suggestions. Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark carefully studied new appraisal requests and focuses and drew upon the successful experience of re-evaluation by Tianzhushan, Jinzhidong and Dunhua Global Geopark so as to pass the re-evaluation next year.
