On October 25, Sanqingshan UNESCO Global Geopark and Guizhou Jinzhidong UNESCO Global Geopark became sister parks, both sides will carry out cooperation in terms of geosites conservation, scientific research, park management, science popularization and education as well as personnel exchange, etc.  

On September 19, Guizhou Zhijindong UNESCO Geopark was officially approved by UNESCO at the 4th Asia-pacific Geoparks Network Symposium held in Japanese Sanin Coast Geopark to join in GGN, becoming the first global geopark in Guizhou Province.
