Sanqingshan popular science series has made another new achievement!

Recently, it’s learned from the official website of the Ministry of Land and Resources that in the 2017 Ministry of Land and Resources Excellent Popular Science Books Recommendation Activity held by the Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department in the Ministry of Land and Resources, Sanqingshan’s Take You to Visit Sanqingshan Global Geopark won the title of “2017 National Excellent Popular Science Books”. 

Take You to Visit Sanqingshan Global Geopark series of popular science books was planned by Sanqingshan Geopark Management Bureau, edited by Xu Kejian in China University of Geosciences (Beijing), published by Geological Publishing House and is divided into children’s version and youth version. This series of popular science books includes both pictures and essays and tells in popular and easy-to-understand language what Qingqing—the mascot of Sanqingshan Global Geopark —sees and hears while it travels in Sanqingshan Global Geopark, and thus exhibits the geomorphological features of the park, its animal and plant resources, the Taoist culture and the customs of the She ethnic group to the readers. As the first popular science book for Sanqingshan, Take You to Visit Sanqingshan Global Geopark is both scientific and informative, both popular and interesting, and thus enjoys great popularity among its readers.   

It’s learned that this selection activity was through rigorous formality examination and expert review. After the publicity process, thirty works were granted with the title of “2017 Ministry of Land and Resources Excellent Popular Science Books” and are promoted to readers in the whole society.
