The Monument of the North Marching Anti-Japanese Advance Troops of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army


  The Monument of the North Marching Anti-Japanese Advance Troops of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army was completed in 2009. It covers an area of more than 20mu (1.33hm2). The main monument is 39.8 meters long, 15 meters wide, 13 meters high. It was designed by Prof. Ye Zehui.It is divided into two parts: a square in front of the monument and a main monument. The square covers an area of over 1000m2, symbolizing more than 1000 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in Huaiyushan. The top side is respectively inlayed 7 and 10 five-point stars, symbolizing the two historic stages of Peasants’ Red Army of 7th and 10th army groups.
